International artist Phill-E rocks Middle East Fashion Week 2022 with performance in 3 languages

International singer, rapper and model Phill-E (@Phill-E) charmed the crowds with his hits including the bodacious ‘Jordans’ at the second ever edition of the Middle East Fashion Week 2022 (MEFW22) which kicked off in Dubai on Monday with catwalk shows from Sol Angelann by Irena Soprano and Dubai based Maison d’Vie.

The iconic ‘The Agenda’ building in Dubai which is hosting MEFW22 was rocked by Phill-E’s energetic performance in three languages - combining French, Dutch and English lyrics - to add a truly international dimension to the event.

Phill-E, the Netherlands based artist, said: “When Simon asked me to perform at this event, I knew immediately we were a good fit. I am a truly international artist and this event brings together creative talent from right across the fashion world. It is very exciting for me to share so much of my music across four performances this week with such an interesting and influential audience. I can’t wait to perform my newest single ‘Moulin Rouge’ here for the first time anywhere globally”.

Simon Lo Gatto, CEO and Co-Founder of the Middle East Fashion Week and the Middle East Fashion Council said: “Our vision for MEFW is to offer international fashion brands a platform to showcase to our increasingly important regional market and for local brands to showcase their creativity to the international market. I met Phill-E and Rubayne in an elevator two years ago and they kept in contact as we built MEFW. Now, 2 years later, I knew who to call to perform here to make the second edition of this event bigger and better.. Phill-E’s hunger to succeed and his creativity just matched what we are about at MEFW so it was exciting when he agreed to perform multiple times across the whole event. I am so pleased with the really positive reception to his performances so far. His talent and professionalism make him so easy to work with so I expect and look forward to seeing him on stage at many events in the region again very soon.’

MEFW22 was opened by Comme Des Stars, the Paris based Haute Couture fashion house and was headlined by Ezra Couture, showcasing for the first time in 4 years on day 2 of the event. Michael Cinco will be showcasing on day 3, proving that the event is again the premier showcase of fashion in the Middle East.

Zied Ben Houria, Founder and Creative Director of Commes Des Stars said: ”My team and I worked so hard on our show on Day 1 and I'm pleased we made our mark on MEFW22. We really enjoyed Phill-E's set and felt represented when he performed Moulin Rouge and 'Je m'en fous' in French. It is nice to feel included."

MEFW guests have enjoyed performances from Phill-E and DJ/Producer Rubayne @rubaynemusic on every day of the event including the closing party.
